GENERAL PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Two organizational units, the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) PPK Institute for Health Development and Sports Science (ESI) and the Budapest University Athletics Club (BEAC) offer general physical education credited courses for students.
ADMISSION TO GENERAL PHYSICAL EDUCATION COURSES
You can apply for the courses, worth 1 credit, with similar method to other subjects through the Neptun system, which courses can be taken four times in one training cycle by paying the service fee (HUF 6,000 / semester).
In addition you can apply for more than four times for PE courses within one training cycle against a fee, but without any additional credit score value.

ELTE PPK INSTITUTE OF HEALTH DEVELOPMENT AND SPORTS SCIENCE
The Institute of Health Development and Sports Science of the ELTE PPK provides sports opportunities for the entire university student fellowship within an organized framework.
The most popular sports offered by ESI as an optional subject are: football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, floorball, tennis, squash, aerobics, Dance and Zumba, functional training, spinning, fitness and martial arts.

BUDAPEST UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS CLUB (BEAC)
ELTE's 120-year-old sports association, BEAC, offers students the following elective physical education courses: aerobics, Argentine tango, table tennis, athletics, boxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, cheerleading, torball, dynamic yoga, wall climbing and boulder, floorball, futsal, functional training, running, sailing knowledge, belly dance, jazz dance, referee course, yoga, canoeing, cycling, kettlebell, kick-boxing, motor skill development, basketball, kung-fu (art of Chinese motion), football, Muaythai boxing, women's soccer, swimming, volleyball, chess, spinning, squash, swing dancing, rock climbing, ballroom dancing, posture gym, tennis, hiking, badminton, triathlon, TRX, swimming, Zumba.
In addition to general physical education courses you can also take part in the club's afternoon trainings which are held by ELTE sports scholarship students, BEAC coaches or instructors. Anyone can take part in the trainings regardless of age, gender or her / his level. There are opportunities for both leisure and competitive sports. Inquirers can choose from the following sports:
Team sports: futsal, handball, football, basketball, volleyball
Martial arts: Brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing, karate, kick-boxing, Muaythai, kung-fu
Aerobics: body shaping, dynamic yoga, Pilates, Zumba, fat burning workout
